Bianco Superiore Quartzite is renowned for its excellent durability. It’s one of the hardest natural stones available, making it highly resistant to scratches from daily kitchen use. While it is much more resistant to etching than marble, it’s best to not take any risks. Spills from highly acidic products like vinegar if left for extended periods could potentially cause a subtle mark, though this is rare with proper care. Like most natural stones, it is porous to some degree and should be sealed to prevent staining from liquids like wine, oil or coffee.

Quartzite is relatively low maintenance. For daily cleaning, a mild soap and water solution or a pH-neutral stone cleaner is recommended. Avoid harsh abrasive cleaners or acidic products. To protect against staining, it’s advisable to seal your Bianco Superiore countertops upon installation and re-seal them periodically (typically every 1-3 years, depending on use and the specific sealer). A simple water test can help you determine when re-sealing is needed. If water beads on the surface, the sealer is still effective; if it soaks in, it’s time to re-seal.
